Dr James RITCHIE

Dr Ritchie is a general surgeon and Fellow with the Royal College of Surgeons
and has practices in several locations throughout Sydney. He specialises in key
hole surgery, including hernia repair, removal of gall bladder, and anti-reflux
surgery. His major area of interest is the treatment of morbid obesity with a
minimally invasive approach.
He is a member of the Australian Medical Association; the Royal Society of
Medicine; the Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (OSSANZ); the
Royal College of Surgeons of Australasia; The Royal College of Surgeons,
England; and the International Federation for the Surgery for Obesity (IFSO).
Since 1975 Dr Ritchie has performed over 2000 surgeries for obesity.
