Dr Alexander Matthews

Dr Alex Matthews is a Specialist Surgeon. Graduating in 1988 as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he has over 20 years experience in a wide variety of minimally invasive surgical procedures.

He performs numerous laparoscopic (keyhole) procedures including the laparoscopic adjustable gastric band, laparoscopic repair of inguinal, incisional and hiatus hernias and fundiplication, together with laparoscopic appendectomy and cholecystectomy.

We are privileged to have Dr Matthews with his years of surgical experience and expertise, working here at SIOS.
